Sambalpur: A 10-year old girl identified as Rinki Behera was allegdely burnt alive in Deogarh's Balinali village.
Sources said Rinki along with her three friends had stolen some pomegranate from a farm. Their family members told them not to disclose the matter.
But Rinki disclosed the names of her friends before the farm owner.
Irked over the diclosure, mothers of two of her friends reached Rinki's house and scolded her.
Rinki was later found in a critical condition with burn injuries on her body and she died on the way to hospital.
Police have detained two women and are investigating the matter.
