Hyderabad: Irritated by the begging act of a 8-year old mute girl Sameera, a man threw acid at her in Jeedimetla.
Police said that the victim, generally seeks alms by standing near a Sulabh complex.
The accused Narsimha Rao, came to Sulabh in an inebriated condition. He got irritated when Sameera repeatedly asked him for alms. He then picked up an acid bottle from the Sulabh complex and threw it at Sameera.
The locals shifted the girl to hospital and also nabbed Narsimha.
The acid fell on the back of the girl but her condition is stable.
Police arrested the accused and registered the case under 324 of IPC.
