7-yr-old raped in train, given Rs 10

A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an unidentified man  on the Howrah-Kurla Express near Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. The man also gave her Rs. 10 after committing the crime.

"The girl was found near Bhakt Kanwarram. She was seriously injured and profusely bleeding, following which she was admitted to an hospital. The medical examination of the minor has confirmed that she was sexually assaulted. 

Police said the girl was travelling in Howrah-Kurla Express. When she went to the toilet on Saturday, an unidentified man followed her there and brutally raped her.  The accused gave her a Rs. 10 note and dropped her at the Bilaspur railway statioan. 

It is still not clear whether the girl was travelling alone or accompanied by somebody at the time of the incident.

Police has announced a reward of Rs. 25,000 for providing information of the accused and are scrutinising CCTV footage of the railway station.
