By 04:36
An argument over the television turned violent when man grabbed a woman by the hair and repeatedly smashed her head against the wall after she threatened to change the channel.

The man, Roosevelt Franklin, 52, has at least five prior violent convictions including battery, domestic battery and battery/child abuse.
The victim, who was left with bruises to both her right eye and forehead, along with an unexplained laceration on her left leg, told police Franklin had battered her multiple times in the past, police reported.
He told police that the argument began when the victim and another woman disturbed him as he was watching TV. He denied that the argument turned physical and said the victim’s injuries were likely the result of an earlier fall.
Franklin was booked into the Alachua County jail, where he remained Monday in lieu of $50,000 bond.
