BHOPAL: A woman took revenge on the man identified as Raju Vishvakarma, 38, who raped her at knife point by dousing him in kerosene and setting him on fire.
The rape victim asked him to visit her house for negotiating as an out of court settlement in the rape case on Thursday evening.
When Raju reached her house, the victim and her brothers, doused him in kerosene and set him on fire.
Raju was taken to hospital by local villagers who saw him burning. He died of burn injuries in the hospital.
We have booked the rape victim and her family members on charges of murder going by Raju's statement, police said.
Vishvakarma had allegedly raped the 25-year-old woman of Nigehara village on April 30. Vishvakarma was released on bail in May.
