A fourth-year MBBS student was raped by three men on Thursday night.
The girl was going to her residence after studies at the university library around 11:30 pm, when she was abducted in an autorickshaw by three men and gang-raped.
The student had sustained a fracture on a leg and is in Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
After the sexual assault, the culprits left her near her residence. Her roommates alerted the university administration and then the authorities informed the police.
Police told the reporters that the student was yet to recover from anesthesia. She was also in shock and yet to speak to the police.
Police has registered the case and teams have been formed to arrest the accused.
