Bhubaneshwar: A retired army officer was arrested for allegedly chopping his wife's body into more than 100 pieces.
Though the cold-blooded murder occurred nearly a fortnight ago, police came to know about the incident on Friday night.
The mutilated remains of the woman Usashri was recovered from a box from the house.
The accused, Somnath Parida has confessed to killing his wife. The police is interrogating further.
The matter came to light when one of the relatives visited their house. When they reached home, Somnath became nervous. He said Usashri has gone out. The visitors also complained about the horrible stink emanating from the house.
